Tulsa Council Advances $884 Million Vision Plan
Tulsa Vision: Here’s your package, Tulsa

The Tulsa City Council approved an $884.1 million Vision tax renewal package Thursday night after a proposal from Councilor Blake Ewing earlier in the day smoothed out contentions.
Councilors applauded their own work and the work of city staff — notably council policy administrator Jack Blair — who shepherded elected officials through the process that began more than two years ago.
Thursday’s meetings began early with new proposals from Ewing and Councilor Anna America to offer middle ground following in-fighting on Tuesday. A late-afternoon negotiation offered by Councilor G.T. Bynum sealed the deal among officials.
“From my standpoint, this is a very balanced proposal,” Bynum said of the overall tax package. “The difference that will occur in Tulsa if this is approved will be tremendous.”
