Tulsa Pipeline Expo to Celebrate 5 Years At 2013 Event

TULSA PIPELINE EXPO TO CELEBRATE FIVE YEARS AT 2013 EVENT 

TULSA, Okla. (April 1, 2013) – The Tulsa Pipeline Expo (TPE) will celebrate five years of showcasing Oklahoma’s energy industry during the annual event set for Aug. 26 through 28, 2013 at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

“We started the Tulsa Pipeline Expo five years ago as an opportunity for Oklahoma energy companies, manufacturers and service providers to meet others in the industry and display their capabilities,” said Shawn Lowman, president of TPE. “Attendance increases every year as businesses and professionals discover the opportunities available at the expo.”

Participants from around the region and across the country travel to Tulsa to participate in the three-day expo. Events include a trade show and demonstration, professional development opportunities, expert industry speakers, a golf tournament and a dinner to benefit the Eagle Gift Foundation.

“The Tulsa Pipeline Expo is one of Oklahoma’s premiere energy events, drawing participants from around the state and region,” said Governor Mary Fallin. “The number of attendees and exhibitors seems to double every year. With its rich tradition of oil and gas exploration and production, Oklahoma is the perfect place to host this event.”

All profits from TPE are used to assist charities through the Eagle Gift Foundation. Funds raised from the 2012 expo contributed more than $65,000 to six different organizations: Community Food Bank of Eastern OklahomaA New LeafTulsa Boys HomeJohn 3:16 MissionThe Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa and Empowering Adults-Protecting Children.

“We hold the Tulsa Pipeline Expo at the fairgrounds under the Golden Driller to honor Oklahoma’s strong history in the energy industry,” said Bill Solomon, chairman of the Eagle Gift Foundation. “The expo promotes Oklahoma’s business capabilities and also supports our community through the Eagle Gift Foundation.”
