Tulsa County Democratic Convention endorses Kathy Taylor for mayor

The D’s and R’s may not be next to the names on the June 11 ballot for Tulsa mayor, but the D’s at the Tulsa County Democratic Convention on Saturday didn’t seem to care.
Held at the Transport Workers Union hall, the convention served as a rally for Kathy Taylor’s comeback campaign for the office she held from 2006 to 2009.
Then, she ran as a Democrat.
Now under the city’s new “non-partisan” elections, she and Republicans Dewey Bartlett and Bill Christiansen will be on the ballot without party affiliation.
